You couldn’t ask for a better place to ride than Shropshire. If you want to find out about the best places to walk, trot or canter, visit Shropshire Riding.

There is a network of byways and bridleways zig-zagging their way through the Pulverbatch hills and countryside as well as many quiet lanes which make it wonderful horseriding country. The South Shropshire Hunt is active in the area and visitors are welcome.

Visitors are welcome to park in the Village Hall car park where a donation of £1 to hall funds is requested. This is the start point for two Ride UK, well marked and maintained, circular rides through parts of Shropshire’s finest landscape to give locals and visitors the chance to confidently explore further afield. Downloadable leaflets with directions and maps are available as .pdf files:

Church Pulverbatch to Ratlinghope Ride

Habberley Valley Ride

There are three further circular rides nearby that are also described in downloadable .pdf files:

Betchcott Hills Ride

Minton Hill Ride

Stiperstones Ride
